The objective of this project was to understand and implement basic communication theory and the use of visual signifiers to create a brand identity for a business.

The Brand
Lantern is a family-owned Chinese restaurant that strives to deliver food that they’re proud of and service that's second to none. They want anyone that comes into their establishment to feel welcomed and leave full and satisfied, knowing they’ve just been served a warm and appetizing meal by people who care.
The Project
While creating the mark and identity for this business, I wanted to capture the essence of the business while also communicating what the business provides for its customers. By using this process, I've created a unique mark and brand identity that would be able to set them apart from competitors while also making the business more identifiable to its customers.
